Browning is bolder than ever!
Rob Browning will be blowing up the walls of the glave kocen gallery with his new body of work,” Tree/House” opening October 7 running through November 1. Colors abound each work alongside his brilliant control of light and shadow. Due to personal reasons and not being an artist who ”bangs out” work, it’s been a solid seven years since Browning has painted an exhibit for the glave kocen gallery. There is no question he is back with fire in his belly.
Tree/House is a collection of Browning’s latest works. Browning describes the exhibit saying, “When I started painting for this show I didn’t have a theme in mind but the paintings became about trees and houses. Not necessarily the relationship between them… just about trees and houses.” Browning is well known for his paintings of people, homes and trees; his tranquil yet quirky illustrations of nature and all of us people who live within it.
Rob is a Charlottesville based artist that graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1979. His work has been used for multiple corporations including, General Electric, American Airlines, and Disney whom he was an illustrator with until they went digital. His work was recently published on the cover of “A History of American Literature: Second Edition” by Richard Gray.
